Our annual event promises to be an absolute blast, featuring a delectable array of BBQ delights, live music, and good old-fashioned fun—all for a fantastic cause.
The day will be filled with mouthwatering delights, toe-tapping tunes, and unforgettable memories!
As we fire up the grills and prepare to tantalize your taste buds, it's important to remember that the purpose of this event goes beyond just food and entertainment. We're coming together to raise awareness of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and to support local families on their ALS journey.
Every dollar raised will make a meaningful difference in their lives, providing vital resources and support when they need it most.
Our festival will be pulsating with the energy of live musical performances by talented local bands, setting the stage for a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Picture yourself grooving to the tunes, surrounded by the savory aroma of sizzling barbecue, and connecting with friends and fellow enthusiasts—all while making a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.
And let's not forget the thrill of competition! Watch as backyard pitmasters battle it out for the coveted title of BBQ champion, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
BBQ Competition
Teams from across New York State and Pennsylvania will compete in multiple categories including Chicken, Pulled Pork, Ribs, Brisket, Side Dishes and Desert.
They will submit their creation to a panel of judges who will rate the items on taste, texture, and appearance. Starting at 12:00 and then every 30 minutes, event attendees can watch the teams package up their items and walk their turn-in boxes over to the judge's area where they anonymously submit their products for judging.
Teams will then quickly return to their cook site where they begin to prepare the next item!
After all items are turned in, points will be added up and the best of each category will be awarded as well as the Overall Champion receiving the highest overall score Make sure to stay until the end to watch the awards ceremony.
Plus, the People's Choice competition will allow attendees to taste some of the BBQ items and be given a ticket for voting.
